Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook.
Walter Peterson served as Governor of NH -- from 1969 to 1973.
But, that's only a short part of his life of public service.
He's served in the Legislature and administered Educational institutions including the University of New Hampshire.
Most of all, he's been a fixture in the public life of the state, speaking out on issues and lending advice.
Outlook's Richard Ager profiles Walter Peterson as part of our New Hampshire Originals series.

Walter Peterson is also a board member at NHPTV.
It's been said that he's such a straight shooter, the only legislative favor he ever did for his home town was to ensure that Peterborough be spelled - with a U-G-H at the end.

Cheryl Kumiski is an award-winning glass artisan who's been at her craft for nearly 30 years.
She makes stained glass in her studio, and continues to hone her skill in glass jewelry making -- her most recent pursuit.
In this Making it in New Hampshire story, Outlook Photojournalist Steve Giordani takes us to Kumiski's Rochester studio where she
demonstrates the "delicate" process of working with multi-color glass.
